Sigh
This week has been like a dream, drifting out of the boundaries of ordinary life and into the extraordinary, wafting out of dreams again and getting hit by a gust of reality.
There was Ryan's accident, as well as more melodrama from my best friend. In fact, before Ryan called me to inform me about the accident, I was on the phone with Anisah, hearing an intoxicatingly mind-blowing story and getting the shock of my life (more about that later, or maybe not).
Before the accident...
When we had not met up with each other yet and were still in our own homes, Ryan smsed me and told me to cab down to his place instead of him coming over. Cos the jigsaw puzzle that we were suppose to complete together is at his home. That would give us something extra to do.
But me being lazy and with the rain to top it off, Ryan took the car and drove to my place instead.
We went to Pasir Ris park that night, enjoying the sea breeze. Actually, we were a little irritated by the mosquitoes that found endless joy in sucking our blood. We left after less than an hour there.
Initially before going to the park, he tried to persuade me to catch a movie at TM. I persistently refused because I don't fancy watching movies and I wasn't in the mood for one that night.
So that was how we ended up at the park la.

Later, we were still happily savouring ice cream at cafe cartel.
Then, we ran out of things to do.
We drove around aimlessly in the car and ended up in front of my home. It was only 11 pm, I didn't wanna go home that early, so he parked the car outside my house and both of us just slacked inside.
I told him to call up the guys to ask if they wanted to play mahjong since we were rotting and had nothing to do. However, even that was called off.
Listening to nursery ryhmes in the car...

Peeking our heads out of the sunroof...

He only left at 12+ because I had to go back inside the house and call Anisah to comfort her. That in itself is a looong story.
And he got into an accident on the way back home.
I feel bad. I feel like its partly my fault cos why didn't I

- cab to his place instead of being lazy and getting him to drive over?
- agree to watch Eight Below with him when he begged me?
- just go home instead of getting him to accompany me until 12+
- why didn't the guys wanna play mahjong??
The car is badly wrecked beyond repair. It is a new car, barely 3 months old :(. It was a severe accident. The car actually toppled to its side, flew over the barricade, landed on the other side and all the while, my poor darling was inside.
He told me it is weird that he escaped with only a fractured shoulder, horrible scratches and a queasy stomach, given the condition of the car. I think so too. But I still feel bad, like I am partly to be blamed.
I know that what-if(s) are of no use now. I am just so thankful that Ryan is not badly hurt. Dear, I'll help you copy notes during lectures, not to worry ok.
I'm sorry :(.
